John Etherington is a British actor based in London who has been working professionally since graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2012.
Born and raised in Southampton, John found his love for acting at an early age whilst attending The Nuffield Youth Theatre performing in the play Skellig and a number of different productions with The Gantry Youth Theatre. John gained a First Class BA Hons Theatre and Professional Practice degree from Coventry University in 2011, before continuing his training at East 15 where he worked with a number of prolific industry professionals. These include director Jamie Harper (The Bush Theatre Bazaar), Ed Harris (Sony Award Winning Playwright), and director Russell Bender (National Theatre, The Kitchen), who directed John in The Infernal Machine at The Cockpit Theatre. Since leaving East 15 having obtained an MA with merit in Acting, John has been involved in both theatre and screen, from playing a Devil worshipper for National Geographic to Oberon and Theseus in a retelling of Shakespeare’s classic, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. John is also very interested in television presenting and has a presenting showreel which is available to view.
